Sarah moved away a few weeks later. Liam was sad to see her go, but he knew that they would always be friends. He continued to play foosball every day, and he always thought of Sarah whenever he saw her favorite player on his table.
"I'm moving away," Sarah said. "My family is moving to another state."
One day, Liam was playing foosball with his friend, Sarah. Sarah was a much better player than Liam, but he was starting to catch up. They were in the middle of a close game when Sarah suddenly stopped playing. "Liam," she said, "I have to tell you something." "What is it?" Liam asked.
Once upon a time, there was a man named Liam. For years, he’d wanted a foosball table, but he lived in a small apartment and didn’t have much money. He searched and searched, but all the tables he found were either too big, too expensive, or just plain ugly.
Liam was touched by Sarah's gift. He took the player and put it on his foosball table. "Thank you, Sarah," he said. "I'll always remember you."
He cleaned it up and started playing. He wasn't very good at first, but he practiced every day. Soon, he was able to beat his friends and family. He even started a foosball club at his local community center.
Sarah reached into her bag and pulled out a small, wooden foosball player. "This is for you," she said. "It's my favorite player."
