[s4e3] Blind Ambition -

Originally aired on May 15, 2005, this episode focuses on Peter Griffin's jealousy over his friends' accomplishments.

After Mort Goldman bowls a perfect game and Glenn Quagmire is hailed as a hero for performing CPR, Peter becomes desperate for fame.

Despite his blindness, Peter accidentally becomes a hero himself when he unknowingly wanders into a burning building (The Drunken Clam) and saves the bartender, Horace.

In an attempt to set a world record, Peter decides to eat a massive number of nickels. This leads to severe nickel poisoning, causing him to go permanently (though temporarily for the series) blind.
