Google Drive - Virus Scan Warning [your_file_ready_to_download] May 2026
The "Google Drive - Virus scan warning [your_file_ready_to_download]" message is a legitimate security notification from Google Drive, typically triggered when a file is (generally over 100 MB) for Google's servers to scan for malware in a timely manner. While the warning itself is a standard protective measure, users should always verify the source of the file before proceeding with the "Download anyway" option. Why the Warning Appears
Google Drive automatically scans most uploaded files for viruses and malware to protect users from harmful content. However, scanning requires significant computational resources. To maintain server responsiveness, Google sets internal size limits. When a file exceeds these limits, Drive presents a warning screen stating: "Google Drive can't scan this file for viruses. [File Name] is too large for Google to scan for viruses. Would you still like to download this file?" . Standard Warning vs. Potential Scams [File Name] is too large for Google to scan for viruses

I was just wondering, is there ever such a thing as “over scoring” ? (I don’t mean the depth, but I mean the number of score cuts or the surface area that gets scored)

Hey Veronica! Yes, it’s absolutely a thing. Scoring should be effective in order for the surface to bloom optimally. Each stroke comes with a trade of oven spring, since tension is released from the surface . If the pattern on top is more important then the spring then it’s no real issue, the content and fermentation of the bread is still the same.
