As the Coyote slid down the windshield like a piece of wet paper, Fred jumped out. "Hold on, gang. This looks like a mystery. Why is that coyote trying to catch a bird with high-tech equipment? And more importantly... why is the sky made of watercolor?"

"I wanted the ACME patents for myself!" he shouted. "With their 'portable holes,' I could have robbed every bank in the world!"

"I’m telling you," Daffy ranted, waving a spoon, "the billing on this show is outrageous! It should be Daffy & Scooby ! It’s got a ring to it! It’s punchy!"

The crossover of the century was in motion. While Fred and Bugs laid out an elaborate trap involving a giant magnet and a box of "Free Ghost Seeds," Shaggy and Scooby found themselves at a nearby diner with Daffy Duck.

"I would have gotten away with it, too," Smithers grumbled, "if it weren't for you meddling kids and that long-eared rabbit!" "But why do it, Smithers?" Velma asked.

Back in the real world, the gang sat in silence for a moment.
