Inside were twelve subfolders, labeled M1 through M12 , and twelve text files, N1 through N12 . As he went through them, a pattern emerged
As the twelfth file finished decompressing, the lights in Elias's apartment dimmed. On the screen, the folder "The Twelve" vanished, replaced by a single, high-definition video feed of Elias's own living room, filmed from a corner where no camera existed.
